Products from STRAUB mean that we can offer couplings for fast, easy and safe joining of pipes made of different materials. It can be a connection of metal to metal, plastic to metal, or plastic to plastic. Straub couplings allow for stress-free joining of virtually all pipe materials with no special pipe-end preparation. They are installed quickly, easily, and reliably with simple hand tools. We offer a full line of GRIP and FLEX type couplings and easy to use REPAIR clamps for all pipe materials. STRAUB pipe-coupling are available in dimensions up to 2000 mm and up to 67 bar (PN) for pressure.
Easier and safer
Pipe-couplings replace different kinds of screw joints, welded joints and flange joints. There are many advantages in this method. The installation is considerably easier and faster. Besides this the joints take up less space compared to flange joints for instance. Another big advantage is the flexibility, the ability to compensate for angle- and length-displacement in the pipe system and the reduction of sound and vibrations.
In Operation

Progressive Sealing Effect
- The progressive sealing effect is a unique and patented feature of the Straub Gasket:
- As the pressure in the pipe increases so does the force on the sealing lips, due to the flow through the pressure equalization channel.
- The gasket is not subjucted to any great loading thanks to minimal installation torque applied. The result is continued eslasticity and a long coupling life expectancy.
- The free space between the sealing lips serves as a "reservoir" for the gasket in the event of temperature swings.
- Authentic progressive sealing effect through an innovative sealing lip construction, which has proven its funtionality millions of times in practice.
